435 Taking reward for recovery of property obtained by way of indictable offences
If—
(a)
a thing is obtained by way of any act constituting an indictable offence; and
(b)
a person dishonestly receives, or dishonestly agrees to receive, any benefit on an agreement or understanding that the person will help anyone to recover the thing;
then, unless the person has used all due diligence to cause the offender to be brought to trial for the offence, the person commits a crime. Maximum penalty—7 years imprisonment. sch 1 pt 6 div 1 ch 41 s 435 amd 1988 No. 88 s 5 sch 2
