250 Meaning of political donation
A gift or loan is a political donation if the gift or loan is—
made to, or for the benefit of, a registered political party or candidate in an election; and
accompanied by a donor statement.
However, an amount of electoral expenditure gifted to a registered political party or candidate in an election is a political donation whether or not the gift is accompanied by a donor statement.
This section applies to a gift or loan made by a person even if the person was outside Queensland when the person made the gift or loan.
In this division, a reference to a political donation made to a registered political party or candidate in an election includes a political donation made to another person if the donation is made for the benefit of the party or candidate.
In this section—loan means a loan made for no consideration or inadequate consideration.
