Inspection and supply of copies of claims and returns

In force

(1)

The commission must keep, at its office, a copy of—

(a)

each claim under division 4; and

(b)

each return under division 7, 8 or 10; and

(c)

each return under division 11.

(2)

Any person may peruse, at the office of the commission, a copy of a claim or return mentioned in subsection (1).

(3)

A person may, on payment of a fee decided by the commission to cover the cost of copying, obtain a copy of a claim or return mentioned in subsection (1).

(4)

A person is not entitled under this section to peruse, or obtain a copy of a claim under division 4 until after the end of 24 weeks after the polling day for the election to which the claim relates.

(5)

In this section—claim includes the following—

(a)

any documents accompanying the claim;

(b)

any documents relating to the assessment of the claim by the commission.
