248 Review of initial review decisions
This section applies if a claimant for a review of a payout refusal decision—
receives a notice under section 247(2) confirming the decision; or
does not receive a notice under section 247(2) within 1 month after asking for the review.
If this section applies because of subsection (1)(a), the claimant may ask the commissioner to review the review decision.
If this section applies because of subsection (1)(b), the claimant may ask the commissioner to review the payout refusal decision.
A request to the commissioner under this section must—
be made in the way, and within the time, prescribed under a regulation; and
be dealt with by the commissioner in the way prescribed under a regulation.
