68 Proceedings for offences
(1)
The proceeding is to be heard and decided summarily.
(2)
The proceeding must be started within whichever is the longer of the following—
(a)
1 year after the commission of the offence;
(b)
6 months after the offence comes to the complainant’s knowledge, but within 2 years after the commission of the offence.
(3)
A statement in a complaint for an offence against this Act that the matter of the complaint came to the complainant’s knowledge on a stated day is evidence the matter came to the complainant’s knowledge on that day.
