183 Offences by certain persons
A person, other than an authorised provider or an agent acting within the scope of the agent’s authority, must not—
for the person’s gain or reward—
induce anyone else to take part in an authorised game; or
offer to anyone else an opportunity to take part in an authorised game; or
distribute or supply forms for registration as a player in an authorised game (a player registration form), or cause player registration forms to be distributed or supplied to persons other than authorised providers or agents; or
advertise or publicly promote subscription to, or taking part in, an authorised game.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
A person must not charge an amount for—
filling in a player registration form; or
depositing a player registration form, directly or indirectly, with a licensed provider or an agent; or
submitting, or arranging for the submission of, a player registration form to a licensed provider or an agent; or
collecting or distributing prizes in an authorised game.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
A person must not hold himself or herself out, by advertisement or in another way, to be available to perform a service mentioned in subsection (2).Maximum penalty for subsection (3)—200 penalty units.
