Registrar must register instruments
30 Registrar must register instruments
On lodgement of an instrument, the registrar must register the instrument if—
the person who lodged it complies with the requirements of this Act for its registration; and
the instrument is not inconsistent with another Act or law; and
if the instrument is a plan of survey—it is not inconsistent with another plan of survey.
However, subsection (1) does not prevent the person from withdrawing the instrument.
If the instrument is a plan of survey and it is inconsistent with another plan of survey, the registrar may—
give a written notice to a registered proprietor of a lot that may be affected by registration of the plan of survey; or
require the person who lodged the instrument to give a written notice, in the way the registrar requires, to a person mentioned in paragraph (a).
