Coordinator-General must prepare investigation report
56K Coordinator-General must prepare investigation report
The Coordinator-General must prepare a report about the Coordinator-General’s findings of a development investigation (an investigation report).
The investigation report must include—
the Coordinator-General’s recommendation about whether an infrastructure coordination plan should be made for some or all of the infrastructure required by, or associated with, the resources project the subject of the development investigation; and
the reasons for the Coordinator-General’s recommendation; and
information about the following matters—
the nature of the resources project the subject of the investigation;
any need, or increased demand, for infrastructure in an area of the State likely to be created by the resources project;
the options for meeting a need, or increased demand, identified under subparagraph (ii);
any known benefit or limitation of each option, having regard to the main purposes of this part;
any other matter the Minister reasonably requires for deciding whether an infrastructure coordination plan should be made.
In making the recommendation mentioned in subsection (2)(a), the Coordinator-General must consider—
the economic significance of the resources project the subject of the development investigation to the State; and
whether it would be in the interests of the State for an infrastructure coordination plan to be made; and
whether an infrastructure coordination plan would facilitate a coordinated and efficient approach for the provision of infrastructure required by, or associated with, the resources project the subject of the investigation.
This section does not apply to the extent the development investigation is discontinued under section 56J(1).
