244 Appointment and qualifications
(1)
The chief executive or chief executive officer of a local government (the appointing authority) may appoint an individual as an authorised person.
(2)
However, the appointing authority may appoint an individual as an authorised person only if the appointing authority is satisfied the individual has the necessary expertise or experience.
