245 Appointment conditions and limit on powers

(1)

An authorised person holds office on any conditions stated in—

(a)

the authorised person’s instrument of appointment; or

(b)

a signed notice given to the authorised person; or

(c)

a regulation.

(2)

The instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the authorised person or a regulation may limit the authorised person’s powers under this Act.

(3)

Also, an authorised person appointed by the chief executive officer of a local government may exercise the authorised person’s powers only in relation to the local government’s area.

(4)

In this section—signed notice means a notice signed by the chief executive or chief executive officer of a local government.
