35 Child’s name
(1)
On the making of a parentage order, the child’s names are the names the court approves for the child in the parentage order.
(2)
In approving a name under this section, the court must have regard to the child’s wellbeing and best interests and must not approve a name that is a prohibited name under the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 2003.
(3)
This section does not prevent a name of the child being changed later under a law of the State or the Commonwealth.
