Transport Infrastructure (Dangerous Goods By Rail) Regulation 2018

A person must not consign dangerous goods for transport unless the prime contractor or the rail operator has transport documentation complying with chapter 11.1 of the ADG Code for the goods.Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.

For subsection (1), the prime contractor or the rail operator is to be taken to have transport documentation if the contents of the documentation have been communicated to the prime contractor or the rail operator by means of electronic data processing or electronic data interchange.
