220 Chief executive may require licence documents to be replaced
This section applies if—
a licensee’s licence is renewed; or
a licensee’s licence is amended under section 19 of the Act; or
a period of suspension of a licensee’s licence ends or a suspension is withdrawn; or
information stated on a licensee’s licence document is incorrect and the chief executive reasonably believes the error was caused by the chief executive; or
a licensee is granted another dangerous goods vehicle licence and the chief executive decides to issue the licensee a single dangerous goods vehicle licence under section 208(4).
The chief executive may, by written notice given to the licensee, ask the licensee to return the licensee’s licence document to the chief executive for replacement.
If subsection (1)(d) applies, the notice must include a statement identifying the information that is incorrect and the correct information.
The licensee must comply with the notice, unless the licensee has a reasonable excuse.Maximum penalty—20 penalty units.
After receiving the licence document, the chief executive must give the licensee a replacement licence document.
If subsection (1)(d) applies, the replacement licence document must state the correct information.
