232 Seizure of licences and documents
An authorised officer to whom a licence or driver authorising document is produced for inspection may seize the licence or driver authorising document if the officer reasonably believes—
the licence has been suspended or cancelled; or
the licence has ended; or
the licence has been amended and the amendment is not recorded on the licence or driver authorising document; or
the person who produces the licence or driver authorising document is not the licensee.
Note—
See section 49 of the Act for when an authorised officer may require a person to produce particular documents for inspection.
An authorised officer to whom a document that purports to be a licence or driver authorising document is produced for inspection may seize the document if the officer reasonably believes the document is not genuine.
