University of Southern Queensland Act 1998

This section applies to a person who, immediately before the commencing day, held office as a member of the previous council under section 8(1)(d), (e) or (f) of the repealed Act.

On the commencing day—

a person who held office under section 8(1)(d) of the repealed Act is taken to be a member of the council under section 15(2)(a); and

the person who held office under section 8(1)(e) of the repealed Act is taken to be the member of the council under section 15(2)(b); and

the person, not being the president of the student association, who held office under section 8(1)(f) of the repealed Act is taken to be the member of the council under section 15(2)(c).

A member mentioned in subsection (2) holds office as a member of the council until 9 July 2001 or earlier vacating office.
