100 Evidential immunity for individuals complying with information requests
Subsection (2) applies if an individual, because of an information request made to a prescribed entity or relevant entity under section 29, 51 or 86, gives information to the commissioner or board.
Evidence of the information, and other evidence directly or indirectly derived from the information, is not admissible against the individual in any proceeding to the extent it tends to incriminate the individual, or expose the individual to a penalty, in the proceeding.
Subsection (2) does not apply to a proceeding about the false or misleading nature of the information or anything in which the false or misleading nature of the information is relevant evidence.
