57 Commissioner may refer complaint
(1)
The commissioner may refer a complaint or part of a complaint to a government entity or non-government entity if the commissioner is satisfied the complaint would be more appropriately dealt with by the entity.
(2)
The government entity or non-government entity must deal with the complaint under section 46.
(3)
However, the entity may not refer the complaint to the commissioner under section 46(3)(a).
(4)
If the commissioner refers a complaint under subsection (1), the commissioner must advise the complainant that the complaint has been referred to the government entity or non-government entity.
