59 Government entity required to include information about complaints in annual report
This section applies if a complaint is made to—
a government entity; or
an officer, member or employee of a government entity.
The government entity must include in its annual report for a financial year—
the total number of complaints received by the government entity in the financial year; and
the number of complaints made in relation to each general right and right relating to the criminal justice system under the victims charter; and
the number of complaints referred to another government entity in the financial year; and
how each complaint was dealt with by the government entity; and
any other information the government entity considers appropriate about each complaint.
For subsection (2), the annual report must not include confidential information.
