Managing flows in Lower Balonne

In deciding the arrangements for section 82(2)(h), the chief executive must have regard to the following—

(a)

maximising environmental benefits and the reliability of supply of water for stock purposes and domestic purposes;

(b)

improving flows that mimic the natural variability of the river system and floodplains;

(c)

improving water availability for bird breeding at the Narran Lake Ramsar site.
