22 Decisions about surface water not to increase amount of water taken
(1)
The chief executive must not make a decision about the management or allocation of surface water that would increase the average volume of surface water available to be taken in the plan area.
(2)
Subsection (1) does not apply to a decision—
(a)
about unallocated water made under section 25; or
(b)
about a water permit.
(3)
For subsection (1), a decision includes a decision about an application for an authorisation to take water made but not dealt with before the commencement of this plan.
