263 Expiation of offences
(1)
Despite section 6 of the Expiation of Offences Act 1996, an expiation notice for an offence which is expiable under this Act may be given after the expiration of the period of 6 months from the date on which the offence was alleged to have been committed.
(2)
However, an expiation notice for an expiable offence of a prescribed class cannot be given after the expiry of the period of 2 years from the date on which the offence was alleged to have been committed.
