Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (South Australia) Act 2010

The

Ministerial Council may appoint an entity, other than a committee established by a National Board, to exercise an accreditation function for a relevant health profession.

Without limiting subsection (1), an entity that accredited courses for the purposes of registration in a relevant health profession under a corresponding prior Act may be appointed to exercise an accreditation function for the profession under this Law.

The

National Board established for the health profession must, not later than 1 July 2015, review the arrangements for the exercise of the accreditation functions for the health profession.

The

National Board must ensure the process for the review includes wide‑ranging consultation about the arrangements for the exercise of the accreditation functions.

If an entity is appointed under subsection (1) to exercise an accreditation function for a health profession, the

National Board established for the profession must not, before 1

July 2015, end that entity's appointment.
