48 Dividends
The Public Trustee must, before the end of each financial year, consult with the Minister as to whether a dividend should be paid to the
Treasurer for that financial year and, if so, as to the amount of the dividend.
The Public Trustee may, at any time during a financial year, consult with the Minister as to whether an interim dividend should be paid to the Treasurer for that financial year and, if so, as to the amount of the interim dividend.
If the Minister approves payment of a dividend or interim dividend after consultation with the Public Trustee, the Public Trustee must pay the dividend or interim dividend so approved to the Treasurer for the credit of the
Consolidated Account in the manner and at the time or times approved by the
Minister and the Treasurer after consultation with the Public
Trustee.
