16 Possession of instruments for gaming or cheating
(1)
A person who, in a public place, without lawful excuse, has possession of an instrument for gaming or an instrument constructed as a means of cheating is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $2 500 or imprisonment for 6 months.
(2)
Upon the conviction of a person for an offence against subsection (1), the court may order that the instrument in respect of which the person was convicted be forfeited to the Crown.
(3)
In this section—
instrument includes machine, device or contrivance.
