21 Permitting premises to be frequented by thieves etc
A person who—
is the occupier of premises frequented by reputed thieves, prostitutes, persons without lawful means of support or persons of notoriously bad character; or
is, without reasonable excuse, in premises frequented by any such persons, is guilty of an offence.
Maximum penalty: $750.
In a prosecution under this section, it is not necessary for the prosecutor to prove that the defendant knew that the persons frequenting the premises were reputed thieves, prostitutes, persons without lawful means of support or persons of notoriously bad character, but it is a defence that the defendant did not know and could not, by the exercise of reasonable diligence, have ascertained that the persons frequenting the premises were such persons.
