Obligations of manufacturers, importers and suppliers of explosives

A manufacturer, importer or supplier of explosives has the following obligations:to ensure that the explosives are in a condition that is safe for handling; to ensure that appropriate information about the safe handling of the explosives is provided with, or before the receipt of, the explosives.

For subsection (1)(b), information is appropriate if it clearly identifies the explosives and specifies – the precautions to be taken for the safe handling of the explosives; and the hazards associated with the handling of the explosives.
