118 Silencers and magazines
A person must not use, keep, possess, sell or manufacture a firearm sound suppressor. Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or both.
A person must not use, keep, possess, sell, acquire or manufacture a detachable firearms magazine that is – capable of holding more than 5 rounds of ammunition; and designed or adapted for use with a self-loading centre-fire rifle. Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or both.
A person must not possess a detachable firearms magazine that is – capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition and being used in a pump-action centre-fire rifle; or capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition and being used in a lever-action centre-fire rifle; or capable of holding more than 15 rounds of ammunition and being used in a bolt-action centre-fire rifle. Fine not exceeding 50 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or both.
