Exploration without licence

In force

A person must not, on an area of land comprised in a licence, explore for minerals to which the licence relates, unless the person –

is the holder of the licence; or is authorised by the holder of the licence to explore for the minerals; or is exploring for the minerals under a contract of service, or a contract for services, with the holder of the licence; or has obtained the written consent of the holder of the licence.

Fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.
