Effect of suspension of driver licence

In force

If a driver licence is suspended as a result of the operation of section 56 – the suspension does not terminate a vehicle insurance policy; and an insurance claim must not be refused only on the basis that the licence is so suspended.

This section has effect notwithstanding anything to the contrary in a vehicle insurance policy or other agreement.
