23 When motor vehicle trader licence ceases to have effect
A motor vehicle trader licence ceases to have effect –
in the case of a licence issued and in force in accordance with section 14, on the day on which the licence expires unless the licence is continued under section 18 for a period after that expiry or is sooner cancelled or surrendered; or in the case of a licence issued and in force in accordance with section 14, if the licence is continued under section 18 for a period after the day on which the licence expires, at the end of that period unless the licence is sooner cancelled or surrendered; or in the case of a licence held by virtue of holding deemed registration, on the day on which the entitlement is no longer in force or is sooner cancelled or surrendered; or if the licence is cancelled, on the day on which that cancellation takes effect; or if the licence is surrendered before it would otherwise cease to have effect, on the day it is surrendered; or if the licensed motor vehicle trader dies, on that day.
