50 Exemption for chemical analysis units
A person, other than an approved radiation safety officer, is exempt from the operation of section 13(1) of the Act in relation to the use of a chemical analysis unit that contains a sealed source.
It is a condition of the exemption specified in subregulation (1) that the person has received the training specified in the approved radiation management plan in respect of the use of the chemical analysis unit.
A chemical analysis unit that contains a sealed source is exempt from the operation of section 14 of the Act.
