24 Transfer of property and liabilities
The Minister, by notice published in the Gazette, may transfer one or more of the following, as specified in the notice, to TasTAFE:any property and rights, other than Crown land, of the Crown; any liabilities and obligations, whether actual, prospective or contingent, of the Crown.
On the day on which a notice under subsection (1) takes effect – each property and right transferred under the notice vests in TasTAFE; and each liability and obligation transferred under the notice becomes a liability and obligation of TasTAFE.
A notice under subsection (1) – takes effect on the day on which it is published in the Gazette or such later day as is specified in the notice; and is not a statutory rule for the purposes of the Rules Publication Act 1953.
