176 Medical examinations

A medical examination to be conducted under the Act or these regulations by a medical practitioner or registered health care practitioner must be conducted in accordance with the standards set out in the publication entitled Assessing Fitness to Drive, published by Austroads Ltd in June 2022 and as amended or substituted from time to time.

Evidence of the results of a medical examination conducted in another jurisdiction – may be given, for the purposes of proceedings under the Act, by certificate in an approved form; and if given in that form to the Registrar, must be taken into consideration by the Registrar.
