19 Special restrictions affecting motor cycle licences

The holder of a P1 provisional licence in relation to a motor cycle must not drive, on a public street, a motor cycle carrying another person. Fine not exceeding 20 penalty units.

The holder of a P1 provisional licence in relation to a motor cycle must not drive a motor cycle on a public street unless the motor cycle is a learner approved motor cycle. Fine not exceeding 20 penalty units.

Subregulation (2) does not apply where the holder of a P1 provisional licence has previously held a P2 provisional licence in relation to a motor cycle.

A person must not employ, or cause or permit, another person to drive a motor cycle in contravention of this regulation. Fine not exceeding 20 penalty units.
