8 Novice licensing stages
Before being eligible to be issued with a full licence in relation to a motor cycle, a novice rider must complete the following novice licensing stages, in ascending order:motor cycle learner stage; P1 stage; P2 stage.
Before being eligible to be issued with a full licence in relation to a car, a novice driver must complete the following novice licensing stages, in ascending order:novice driver learner stage; P1 stage; P2 stage.
A person who has progressed to the next novice licensing stage in relation to a particular licence class does not, by virtue of that progression, progress to the next novice licensing stage in relation to another licence class.
