82 Offence for breach of licence, &c.
A licensee must not – take water in excess of a relevant allocation endorsed on the licence; or contravene a condition of the licence; or use water taken under the licence for a purpose that is not specified in the licence.
A licensee who contravenes subsection (1) is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding 500 penalty units and, in the case of a continuing offence, a further fine not exceeding 50 penalty units for each day during which the offence continues.
