36 Fire-plugs near factories, &c., at request of owners
The undertakers shall, at the request and expense of the owner or occupier of any factory, timber yard, or store situated in any street in which there is a pipe of the undertakers, place in that street and maintain in effective order –
a fire-plug or pillar hydrant as near as conveniently may be to the factory, timber yard, or store; and such pipes as are necessary to connect the existing pipes of the undertakers to the fire-plug or pillar hydrant.
