59 Codes of practice
For the purposes of providing practical guidance to accredited bus operators and any other person who may be placed under an obligation by or under this Act, the Minister may, subject to section 63, approve one or more codes of practice.
A code of practice—
may consist of any code, standard, rule, specification or provision relating to any aspect of the bus service; and
may apply, incorporate or refer to any document formulated or published by any body or authority as in force at the time the code of practice is approved, or as amended, formulated or published from time to time.
The approval of a code of practice takes effect on the day on which notice of the approval is published in the Government Gazette, or any later day specified in the notice.
Note
A code of practice approved under this section is disallowable by either House of Parliament: see section 71.
