Coroners Act 2008

The State Coroner may, by instrument, delegate to a coroner any of his or her functions other than—

this power of delegation;

the power of delegation under section 99;

assigning duties to a coroner under section 96;

assigning a magistrate or acting magistrate to be a coroner or revoking the assignment;

making rules or issuing practice directions, statements or notes;

giving a direction under section 108.

The State Coroner may, by instrument, delegate to the Deputy State Coroner any of his or her functions other than the powers of delegation under section 99 and this section.
