87A Appeal to Supreme Court in the interests of justice
(1)
An appeal to the Supreme Court other than on a question of law may be made under section 82(1) in respect of a decision by a coroner to not hold an inquest into a death, or section 84(1) in respect of a refusal by the Coroners Court to re-open an investigation into a death, if the appeal is made by—
(a)
the senior next of kin of the deceased; or
(b)
a person with sufficient interest.
(2)
The Supreme Court may allow an appeal under subsection (1) if it is satisfied that it is necessary or desirable in the interests of justice to do so.
