49 Eligibility to stand for election
A person is only eligible to stand for election as an officer of a group of brigades if—
the person is a general member; and
their enrolment is not suspended.
A person is not eligible to stand for election to the position of officer of a group of brigades unless the member has—
served as an officer of a brigade or as a deputy group officer for 2 years or more; and
met the requirements specified by the Chief Officer as requirements for that position.
A person is not eligible to stand for election to the position of deputy officer of a group of brigades unless the member has met the requirements specified by the Chief Officer as requirements for that position.
The Chief Officer may waive the requirements in subregulations (2) and (3).
