53 Casual vacancies
(1)
This regulation applies if, before the term of office for an officer of a group of brigades expires, the officer—
(a)
resigns from the position or is disqualified from holding the position; or
(b)
ceases to be a member.
(2)
The group of brigades must, as soon as is practicable after receiving notice of a matter referred to in subregulation (1), elect a member to replace the officer.
(3)
A member elected under subregulation (2) holds office for the remainder of the term of office of the replaced officer.
