226 Return of licences

(1)

This regulation applies if a licence is produced to the licensing authority or given to the licensing authority by an inspector.

(2)

If the licence has not been revoked or amended and is not suspended, the licensing authority must return the licence after inspecting it.

(3)

If the licence has been suspended, the suspension has ended or been withdrawn and a replacement licence is not issued, the licensing authority must return the licence to the licensee.

(4)

If the licence has been amended, the amendment is recorded on the licence and a replacement licence is not issued, the licensing authority must return the licence to the licensee.

(5)

Despite subregulations (2), (3) and (4), if the licence period has ended, the licensing authority is not required to return the licence to the licensee.
