79 University is same body despite change of name
Despite the change of the name of the University to Federation University Australia, the University is the same body as the University of Ballarat in existence immediately before the commencement of the University of Ballarat Amendment (Federation University Australia) Act 2013 and no decision, matter or thing is affected because of that change of name.
Any power exercised before 1 January 2014 under the name "University of Ballarat" is taken, on and after that date, to have been exercised under the name "Federation University Australia".
On and after 1 January 2014, the Council of the University of Ballarat continues in operation as the Council of Federation University Australia according to the terms of appointment that applied immediately before that date.
The affixing of the common seal of the University of Ballarat before 1 January 2014 is taken, on and after that date, to have been the affixing of the common seal of Federation University Australia.
