The Director may write to a funeral provider who is a party to a pre-paid funeral contract and request that the funeral provider—

confirm that the details recorded on the register of pre-paid funeral contracts are correct; or

if the details recorded on the register of pre-paid funeral contracts are not correct, notify the Director of any change that is required to those details.

Within 28 days of receiving a request under subsection (1), a funeral provider must respond to the request by—

confirming that the details recorded on the register of pre-paid funeral contracts are correct; or

if the details recorded on the register of pre‑paid funeral contracts are not correct, notifying the Director of any change that is required to those details.

The Director may at any time amend, vary or remove an entry in the register of pre-paid funeral contracts.
