26 Oath or affirmation of office

Before a person appointed to be the Chief Integrity Inspector or to act in the office of the Chief Integrity Inspector assumes the office, he or she must have taken an oath or made an affirmation that he or she—
will faithfully and impartially perform the duties and functions and exercise the powers of the office; and
will not disclose, except as authorised or required by law, any information received in the performance of the duties and functions or the exercise of the powers of the office.
The oath or affirmation is to be administered by the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
