12A Ministerial directions for having regard to climate change
The Minister may issue written directions to planning authorities in relation to matters relating to climate change to which planning authorities must have regard in preparing a planning scheme or amendment.
Without limiting subsection (1), the Minister's directions may set out—
circumstances in which planning authorities must have regard to a matter relating to climate change; and
matters to which planning authorities are not required to have regard under section 12(2A); and
how the requirement under section 12(2A) is to be met in relation to a particular matter.
The Minister's directions may apply, adopt or incorporate, with or without modification, any matter contained in any document, code, standard, rule, specification or method published by any authority or body whether as published at the time that the direction is made or as published from time to time.
