13AG Detained persons under 14 years to be released without delay

(1)
This section applies if—
(a)
a person is being detained under this Part pursuant to a police detention decision or a purported police detention decision; and
(b)
the police officer who is detaining the person is satisfied on reasonable grounds that the person is under 14 years of age.
(2)
The police officer must release the person or arrange in writing for the person's release without delay from detention under this Part.
