Worker Screening Act 2020

The giving of information or documents by a person in response to an enquiry or request for advice or information from the Regulator under a specified provision of this Act, or in response to a notice under section 142A—

does not for any purpose constitute unprofessional conduct or a breach of professional ethics on the part of the person who gives it; or

does not make the person who gives it subject to any liability in respect of it; or

does not contravene any duty of confidentiality imposed on the person by or under any Act (including the Judicial Proceedings Reports Act 1958) or agreement, despite anything to the contrary in that Act or agreement; or

does not constitute a contravention of any other Act or law (including common law).

For the purposes of subsection (1), the specified provisions are sections 18, 40, 58, 81, 92C, 97, 104 and 142.
