17 Criteria for categorisation as species subject to international agreement
(1)
A native species is eligible for listing in the category of species subject to international agreement at a particular time if, at that time —
(a)
the species is the subject of an international agreement that relates to the provision, coordination or encouragement of special protective measures for the species and that binds the Commonwealth; and
(b)
listing in that category is otherwise in accordance with the ministerial guidelines.
(2)
If a native species is listed in the category of species subject to international agreement, the listing must specify the relevant international agreement.
